Am 21. November verteidigte Stephanie Knizkov ihre Promotion zum Thmea Lieferkettenkonzepte und Innovationsansätze, die Unternehmen anwenden können, um die aufstrebende Mittelschicht und die einkommensschwachen Schichten in Entwicklungsländern erfolgreich anzusprechen. Ihre Forschungsarbeit bietet praktische Anleitungen für Unternehmen zu folgenden Fragen: Wie können Unternehmen frugale Innovationsfähigkeiten entwickeln, z. B. die Entwicklung äußerst erschwinglicher Produkte? Wie können Unternehmen die in Armut lebenden Menschen auf sozial verantwortliche Weise in ihre Lieferketten einbeziehen? Wie können Unternehmen neue Technologien in ihre Lieferketten integrieren, z. B. Drohnenlieferungen, die potenzielle Kunden auch in den ländlichsten Gegenden erreichen können?
